Recruiting?...Strange concept.

A couple weeks ago Coach Wulff (God that sounds good) said he "Hit the Ground Running" with Recruiting.

So I figured I's give an update of how the Class of 2008 is Looking.

Commits:

Tim Hodgdon (Solid Verbal)
OL- Tesoro High School- Las Flores, CA
Ht: 6-foot-3 Wt: 272 lbs
This guy is one of three "Pre-Wulff" recruits, so verdict is out if he'll stick around but it would be nice to shore up an O-line that struggled at times.

Jared Karstetter (Solid Verbal)
WR- Ferris High School- Spokane, WA
Ht: 6-foot-4 Wt: 190 lbs Forty: 4.6 secs
Was officially our first commit of the year. Hailing from my hometown, Jared was an All-State Reciever.
Not terribly fast just yet, but he does have height on his side.

Dan Spitz (Solid Verbal)
DE- Mead High School- Mead,WA
Ht: 6-foot-6 Wt: 240 lbs Forty: 4.9 secs Shuttle: 4.6 secs
Another Hometown boy, and another All-stater. Decent speed and size.

Skylar Stormo (Solid Verbal)
TE- Kamiak High School- Mukilteo, WA
Ht: 6-foot-4 Wt: 225 lbs Forty: 4.7 secs
Big Paul's first commit. The Tight End position has left tough shoes to fill the last couple season but we keep filling the position with great players. Coupled with the fact that Frischneckt is a senior this year, we could be looking to Skylar to start by his Sophmore year.

Calvin Schmidtke (Solid Verbal)
QB- Lakes High School- Lakewood, WA
Ht: 5-foot-11 Wt: 178 lbs Forty: 5.08 secs Shuttle: 4.56 secs
Calvin is a Pro-Style QB (as you can see by his slow forty time) but that doesn't mean he isn't mobile (see his quick shuttle time).
Calvin had 550 rushing yards for 10 TD's this year. And you can see a little more of him here.
